Hi, I am Joanna Zimnoch, Dublin-based designer and art director. For many years I have been playing the piano, but a few years ago I discovered a passion for design. I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor Honours degree in Visual Communications from Dublin Institute of Technology.
Since graduating I have worked in D-light Studios as Administrative Coordinator and as Marketing and Distribution Manager for BLOW Photo platform, learning the ins and outs of the magazine and publishing industry. I collaborated with a variety of clients who have helped me grow as a freelance designer, nurturing my drive for out of the box thinking. I am always on the lookout for innovative working environments.
As a child, I spent a lot of time in my grandfather’s cobbler’s workshop admiring his ability to find the solution to every problem. I would like to honour his legacy by helping others solve their creative dilemmas, combining my interest in technology with photography, craft and DIY techniques.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me walking in the park, cycling to the beach or going to various events such as design and tech meet-ups, conferences or any art related festivals.
